35-year-old midfielder Carli Lloyd scored her 100th goal in in today’s 6-2 win against Mexico at BBVA Compass Stadium. In front of 15,349 fans in Houston, Texas, Lloyd made her 252nd appearance for the U.S.

The two-time FIFA Player of the Year scored in the 34th minute of the match and is now the sixth player in history who has reached 100 goals or more in their international career.

The five other players include Abby Wambach (184), Mia Hamm (158), Kristine Lilly (130), Michelle Akers (107) and Tiffany Milbrett (100).

"It's obviously a great milestone, but I've got a lot of things I still want to accomplish left in my career," Lloyd said in postgame interview on Fox’s TV broadcast. "To look back on where I started in 2005 to the player I've become, you don't very often get to sit back and reflect because you're always waiting for that next big thing. It’s pretty cool, it’s an honor, but as people know me, I’m moving on to the next," Lloyd said.

Since Lloyd has turned 30, she has scored 64 goals. She has played 117 games in just six years and has recorded significant goals for the U.S.

Some of the New Jersey native’s most remarkable goals includes the hat trick in the 2015 Women’s World Cup final against Japan where the U.S. achieved its first World Cup title in over 16 years.

Lloyd has scored eight goals in the Olympic games and seven goals in World Cups. Six of these World Cup goals come from the 2015 tournament when she was recognized as the most outstanding player in the tournament.

The USWNT players will return to their NWSL teams to resume the third week of play in the season. In the summer the USWNT will come together for a pair of friendlies against China on June 7th and on June 12th.
